Prof.Scott Douglas Rozelle Won China--Friendship Award
 
Prof. Scott Douglas Rozelle, the chair of the International Advisory Board of the Center for Chinese Agricultural Policy(CCAP), who has just been granted the CAS Award for International Cooperation in Science and Technology on 28 March this year, won another important awards in China--Friendship Award granted by Chinese government, and was received in audience by Premier Wen Jiabao at the Great Hall of the People on September 29, 2008.

Since 1995, Rozelle has collaborated with the CCAP in conducting research on China's agriculture and rural development.He has made outstanding contributions to promoting academic research in China's agricultural economics and policy, improving the world's understanding about China's rural reform, and fostering young scientists for the institute.

The Friendship Award, set up in 1991, is China's highest award for foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to China's economic and social progress.
