CCAP’s research team conducted a survey on maize production and seed marketing in North and Northeast China

In the late spring, CCAP’s research team conducted a survey on maize production and seed marketing in North and Northeast China including Shandong, Henan, Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces. The samples covered 520 maize producers and 130 seed retailers and was collected by the enumerators from Shandong Agricultural University, Jilin Agricultural University and our center. This dataset will facilitate the study on the extension of new varieties, production and technical efficiency analysis and the prediction of maize output in 2012. Chinese Agriculture Research System contributed significantly to this survey.
