Workshop on “China Water-Energy Nexus: Policy pathways for low carbon water use” was held in Beijing
      Workshop on “ China Water-Energy Nexus: Policy pathways for low carbon water use” was held successfully at Center for Chinese Agricultural Policy (CCAP), Chinese Academy of Sciences on May 22, 2012. The workshop was organized by CCAP and University of East Anglia. As the chair and project leader, Professor Jinxia Wang gave a speak on Water-energy Nuxus, GHG Emissions and Adoption of Water-saving Technologies. Professor Jikun Huang, Director of CCAP, gave welcoming remarks. Professor Declan Conway introduced the overview and objectives of the project. Experts invited by the workshop include Yuansheng Pei and Yanfeng Li, from China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, Weiping Hao and Wei Xiong, from China Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The participants fully discussed the relationship between water, energy and food and the impact factors of water-saving plan according to the national "12th Five-Year" Plan target, and explored future research directions.
