“Protecting Eyesight, Improving Academic Performance”----Optometrists Training is held in Tianshui, Gansu Province

“Vision Care for Rural area primary school students” is a project collaboratively conducted by CCAP, NSDRC, Lanzhou University and The Eye Center of Zhongshan University. Optometrists, as one of the most important components, will be organized to have a professional training before the official implementing of this project. The training conference is being held in Tianchen Hotel of Tianshui city from August 1 to 3, 2012.With the active support and cooperation of Tianshui Education Bureau, this project will be carried out in 7 areas (including 5 counties and 2 districts) of Tianshui. All students with myopia from grade 4 and grade 5 in Tianshui will get a pair of free glass. At the same time, students, their parents and teachers will be offered the training about vision care. This project will benefit all grade-4-students and grade-5-students from 120 primary schools in Tianshui.
