IDRC project officer, Bhim Adhikari, visit China to check the progress

From May 19th to 22th, International Development Research Centre (IDRC) project officer, Dr. Bhim Adhikari came to China to monitor the progress of the project of “Water Resources and Adaptation to Climate Change in the North China Plain and the Poyang Lake Region”. This project was led by CCAP and participated by other three institutions, Jiangxi Agricultural University (JAU), Henan Agricultural University (HAU), and North China Institute of Water Conservancy and Hydroelectric Power (NCWU).On May 19th, Prof. Jikun Huang, director of CCAP and leader of the project, made a detail presentation on the project progress. Then the project team discussed about the following major issues related to the project with Dr. Adhikari: 1) Project progress to each objective; 2) Milestones and workplan; 3) Dissemination and Publication; 4) Financial and administration; 5) Project network. The major members of this project participated the meeting, such as Prof. Jinxia Wang, Prof. Jun Yang, Prof. Xiangping Jia and Dr. Linlin Hou from CCAP, Dr. Ruifeng Liu from HAU, Prof. Zhaojiu Chen from JAU and Prof. Chenguang Xu and Dr. Yiyang Xie from NCWU.
During May 20th and 21th, accompanied by a research assistant from CCAP, Dr. Adhikari went to Jiangxi Province for a field visit. Coordinated by Prof. Zhaojiu Chen from JAU, Dr. Bhim Adhikari visited the Poyang Lake Region.
