Dr. Junfei Bai conducted a fieldwork on maize stalk return in Jilin

Dr. Junfei Bai from our center and Dr. Kaiyu Lv from Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences et al went to Jilin on November 10, 2011 for a field research trip on maize stalk return. During the trip, they visited Professor Lichun Wang and Professor Wuren Liu at Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JCAS) in Changchun for an in-depth knowledge on the current situation of maize stalk return in Jilin and associated natural and unnatural constraints. They also visited Xiangshan new technology extension station of JCAS at Fanjiatun, and interviewed several maize farmers for the first-hand information on the issue.
