Professor HUANG Jikun Won the 2008’Fudan Management Awards

Professor HUANG Jikun,director of Center for Chinese Agricultural Policy, together with the other two economists share the 2008’ Fudan Management Awards for their outstanding Contributions to Chinese Market Economy on November 20 in the City of Shenzhen. Former Vice Premier LI Lanqing, addressed the ceremony and presented the prizes to three awardees. Party-secretary of Guangdong Province WANG Yang, and Shenzhen City’s Party-secretary LIU Yupu and Mayor XU Zongheng attended the event.
       Professor HUANG Jikun has his expertise lie on the issues of agricultural policies in China. He is also researcher and PhD supervisor in Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research, vice chair of Chinese Association of Agricultural Economics, advisor and counselor for World Bank and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. He has built up a reputation in agricultural bio-technology development strategies and policies, supply-and-demand trading policy analysis and prediction models of agricultural products, empirical research in agricultural economy and management discipline.
       LI Lanqing initiated the Fudan Premium Fund of Management in 2005, which hands out awards annually to domestic scholars or others who have made outstanding contribution in three fields of management development in China, that is, Management Science, Business Management, and Public Management. Every year, award-winners will be picked up from one of those three areas in rotation. This year, the three winners are from the research field of Public Management.
